Ron Greene is a longtime Pacific Beach inhabitant who can be considered a local treasure not only for his role as PBSC's President (his second stint), but for his excellence at surf photography and top level surfing skills.
Now in his seventies and still ripping despite surviving four heart attacks (including while surfing!), Ron epitomizes the stoke and comeraderie that any surfing club would be proud to have as their figurehead. Ron was instrumental in the club's rebirth in 1994. Ron found himself in a conversation with the new club's soon-to-be first President, Glen Paculba during their long flight back from an Indo surf trip, and the rest was history. He even left the vaunted Windansea Surf Club to help recreate this new club centered in Pacific Beach, and for that the local PB surf community should be eternally grateful!
Hang out with Ron under the PBSC tent here.
